Care for poor and sick people

Health care is not free in Madagascar and many poor people in Vohipeno district can not afford treatment. At the foyer Manasoa, we provide free healthcare which some of these people desperately need.

Most patients only stay a few days or weeks. However, some terminally or chronically ill patients remain for months or even years. We also welcome some very poor and / or disabled who have no family and no possibility to fend for themselves in the outside world. They find here a peaceful and welcoming place to live.

The foyer Manasoa supports on average between 70 and 80 people every day, throughout the year. Our clinic (one doctor, one nurse and two auxiliary nurses) provides patient care, while two cooks prepare meals.
